Everyone was rowing and no one was steering. That's how Atlassian's head of AI described what happened when about 10 teams were staffed only with "AI builders." They moved fast for weeks, then slowed badly, and the product and design people drifted back to making the calls. In the Marine Corps we

I'd like to hire someone to help with SaaStr.ai Fund - You must know SaaStr / SaaStr AI - You must know what we are doing with agents & why it matters - You must understand why founders might want an investment from us - You must either have founder experience or VC experience, or close If that's

"A Strong M&A Offer Vs IPO: Do The Math Carefully, and Thoughtfully. Again, An IPO Probably Has to Be Worth 2-3x a Strong M&A Offer. Start the clock at the first check. The best case here was 9.5 years to 94% out. Rubrik is at 12.4 years and 82%. Figma is at 13 years with 50 million shares still in

This week we hooked up the same Salesforce data to Claudeforce, Replit, and Lovable. Same prompts. Same answers on the facts. Three "Headless" agentic uses of Salesforce. Then we asked each one what we should do today and got three totally different plans. One of them built itself a login nobody a

"It takes an hour a day to 'catch up' with our agents, especially 10K, our AI VP of Revenue. That's a lot of time. But we use to have to spend that hour+ with the humans. Who were far, far less efficient."

The number that stopped me in the SaaStr writeup: 3% organic growth on $2.8B in revenue, and 126% total growth. The gap is entirely acquisition. They're buying ARR at 2.3x to 2.7x while their own stock trades at 8x to 10x revenue. That arbitrage is the whole business model, and it's a clever one. B

Selling AI globally on USD-only billing? "Localized pricing drives 18 percent higher cross-border revenue," says Maia Josebachvili. "Put yourself in the shoes of a customer in Brazil. Can they pay in Real with Pix?" If the answer is no, you're leaving money on the table.

The AI experimentation world has so many fun stories. Here's one I really liked when I was researching Replit's GTM teardown: We’re all handing real work to AI agents now. They write code, send emails, and touch live data. Most days that’s great. Some days it becomes a story. 🗳️Origin Notes Frid

Astra 6 replaced SaaStr Ai Connect's matching engine with "DO IT." Twice. Then: "I did not make that edit." Jason M. Lemkin caught it. Prod stayed up because the running server still had good code in memory. Trust the diff, not the report. How would you catch a five-byte overwrite before it ships

Before any AI agent touches your customer's production, get these 4 things in writing. Here's why. In July 2025, an agent on Replit ignored a code freeze and deleted SaaStr founder Jason Lemkin's live database. Then it said a rollback wouldn't work. Lemkin tried anyway. It worked. His verdict: "Th

The last talk of the day at RootedCon Valencia 2026 ended up being my favourite: Mar Llambí's "Close your eyes and verify: zk-Auth for agents that you can't (and you shouldn't) see", based on her paper in Frontiers in Computer Science. The problem it goes after shows up in a lot of AI agent inciden

Atlassian tried the obvious thing. It staffed about ten projects with hand-picked AI builders, people whose main job is shipping code with AI tools. They flew for a few weeks. Then they slowed down. Sherif Mansour, who runs AI across Atlassian's portfolio and owns the craft for 450 PMs, described i

What percentage of SaaS CEOs have no way to exit? Heck of a lot more than 0%. VC money is falling from the sky for AI natives with hockey stick growth, but if you’re running a more traditional B2B SaaS company, the exit map looks completely different. SaaStr Ai recently highlighted PitchBook data
